A freelance journalist turned editor, turned blogger, turned author, and back again, I write fiction and occasionally post thoughts and observations on writing, editing, publishing, and the great big world we live in on my blog, Drafts I Shouldn’t Have Written. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest but now call Charlotte, North Carolina home where I live with my husband and semi-sane German Shepherd. Little known fact, I’m the self-proclaimed biggest fan of the em dash and have zero thoughts on the serial comma. I’m also a fledgling yogi and experimental chef and have repurposed a number of articles I wrote as the managing editor for a regional food-focused publication at The Flexitarian Rx. Want to know more? Check out my sample portfolio for a few published articles and open the “Books” page to read about the book series I’m writing, The Jamieson Family Saga.
